Chances are you've already explored our website. Perhaps you're considering booking a session and you want to know: why MedLaunch? Hopefully, by telling you a bit about us and explaining our vision, we can convince you to give us a chance!
Who Are We?
Our team is made up of 5 soon-to-be medical students - Yadhavi, Sahib, Darsh, Kashish & Ayesha. You might be wondering, how do we know each other? We all went to the same secondary school (shout out to Herschel Grammar School: we love you <3). We did our A-levels in 2025, meaning we applied to medical school in October 2024. This also means we, luckily (!), all got in first time (never taking this for granted, if you’re a reapplicant - you're an absolute hero).
Not to show off but our credentials are pretty good. 9th decile UCAT scores, A*s at A-level, offers from top medical schools - you get the gist. That doesn’t mean it was easy though. If there was no struggle, there would be no MedLaunch.
Why did we start this company?
MedLaunch was Yadhavi's brainchild and she brought the rest of us on board to help set it up. We started this company in the summer after our A-levels and waited until results day to launch it - so August 14th is officially MedLaunch's birthday!
The idea is simple. We've just been through the process - it's long and confusing and, most of all, very very difficult. So, we want to help the next cohort of aspiring medics.
We know what its like to be ambitious and driven, starting out on that journey. We were relatively lucky - we had support in school from our amazing teachers and had friends also applying. Even then, there were setbacks, frustration and sometimes tears!
Now, we've made it out the other end, we can reflect on the lessons we've learned, the mistakes we might have made and turn it into advice for you. Therefore we've identified two key stages in the process where you might need some extra assistance: the Personal Statement and the Interview. For now this is what MedLaunch will focus on (this doesn't mean we can't help you with other stuff - read on to find out how)
What Makes Us Different?
We'd be surprised if you're applying to medical school and you haven't heard of another similar company. A quick Google search and they all come up. Perhaps we don't even feature on that list - we are a small start-up, after all. However, before you jump to those other companies, hear us out.
Affordability
The BIG issue with some (read: most) providers is cost. Ranging from a bit costly to straight-up exploitative (we will be gracious and not name and shame). When students vow to do anything to get into medical school, that should not mean selling a kidney to pay for a mock interview. I repeat - do not do that. At MedLaunch, we do not condone selling organs or any personal possessions just to get into uni, therefore we keep our prices reasonable. We're a small business and we're students ourselves so we can't work for free or dirt-cheap but we're still MUCH cheaper than most of our competitors.
(In the interest of avoiding a lawsuit, I will not disclose any figures from our research but it's a big difference. I challenge you, calculate your own average and get back to me if I'm wrong)
Simplicity
MedLaunch doesn't do nonsense. That means no fads, no hacks, no ridiculous claims. We believe in hard work and sensible advice. That's why we've stripped down our services, but never our quality. We don't complicate our prices with fancy courses, too many services bundled together or over-the-top offers either.
Here's what we really promise. An hour of our time. The necessary prep and resources to make that session as useful as possible. And most importantly, our mentorship.
Authenticity
The whole point of MedLaunch is to share our experience. All of it. We promise transparency and authenticity. We don't hide anything about our experience, in fact we invite you to ask about it. We want our services to feel personal and genuine - I assure you all our tutors are super friendly and not at all scary. MedLaunch is a personal project as much as it’s a business so we’re here to help not rip you off. Please email us your questions (it’s free, no strings attached) and tell us about your dreams so we can help you achieve them.
That’s all we have to share for now. Keep in mind, we’ve just launched and we’re still figuring this out but we have so much more to share with you (follow us on social media to find out first!). We also want you to engage with us, if you have any questions or any requests for us, get in touch.
